about

"Songs of the Sun" is a Sun And Moon Dance album I had no intention of releasing. It is a bit different from my demo material. The only instruments featured will be the Mountain Dulcimer and Kraviklyre. It is an album solely dedicated to a woman who is very dear to me. Caroline Lathrop who lost her fight to cancer after 7 years. After Caroline passed away I couldnt stop writing these beautiful songs. I feel that she has been writing them through me to tell her story. The album is a remembrance of the inspiring life she led from birth to death and then her rebirth. Just as the year turns the seasons and the Sun goes through its various stages, so does all life. We live on an ever-turning wheel. Nothing and noone is gone forever.

Sun and Moon Dance North Carolina

We are songs of dancing fire, whirling wind, flowing water and the standing stone. We are pain and sorrow woven into hope and beauty. We are forest and meadow… the mountain and river. We are what was and what is becoming. ... more
