Gal anda viðr, gangla viðr, riðanda viðr, viðr rinnanda, viðr sitjanda, viðr signianda, viðr faranda, viðr fluganda, skal alta fyrna ok um döya English I chant against the spirit, against the walking (spirit), against the riding one, against the running one, against the sitting one, against the signing one, against the travelling one, against the flying one, It shall completely wither and die.

A year turns with the spinning wheel. Winter falls asleep. The Sun returns with the mornings dawn, her light guides my way. The Spring returns, as sings the birds, The trees speak, And flows the creek. Seeds grow, With my hands I sowed This garden dear, Theres magic here. A deer feeds in these fields of green. I wait there in silence. This bow it carries such burden. This life before me, I shall honor thee. With knife I kneel I begin to peel. pelt from bone, blood to stone. A song I sing to this beautiful being. Your spirit lives, my thanks I give. I feel a break inside of me. Water rushes my feet This child beloved burden. This life inside me, I shall honor thee. To Earth I kneel, I begin to feel a tender shaking silence. Her head it is crowned, As I bear down. This blessed birth without violence. A year turns with the spinning wheel. Ground bears autumns flame. The moonlit nights grow longer. Her light guides my way. As Winters woke, her icy stroke. The trees sleep o'er frozen creek. I lit this hearth, from the core of Earth. Keep warm my dear. Theres magic here.

Roots run deep. Through bones and stone. A breeze carries me... To the heart of the mountain.

English A second sight to me, You have gifted. This gift was more precious than all the worlds riches. You sit in the doorway Not outside it. You are with us, beyond us, in the earth below us. A splendor, your antlers, for wandering souls. When we pass, you will greet us Through the door of death. The we will sing this song to you, In our next life. I will not ask you for riches, but only for this sight again.

about

Spirit Walker is about letting go of ones physical self and going deep within to trust your own divine self. The self that is connected with everything and everyone. Through letting go of the physical self, we learn to feel the energies of all the life that is around us. The trees, animals, the water, stone, sky and fire. Spirit has a sacred language of its own, and we can connect with it through certain sounds and vocal technique. That is why music can be felt in certain ways through all cultures. (especially the voice and drum). You will find Shamans and Medicine Men from all over the world have similar breathing patterns, vocal chants and drums for connecting with spirit. Music is the strongest magic that exists. Hail Great Sprit of creation!

about

Sun and Moon Dance North Carolina

We're seed and tree with roots deep into earth and branches stretching to the heavens. We are the voice of creation…from the smallest of creatures to the mightiest of beasts. We are songs of dancing fire, whirling wind, flowing water and the standing stone. We are pain and sorrow woven into hope and beauty. We are forest and meadow… the mountain and river. We are what was and what is becoming. ... more
