"Skyggehesten" is a raw compilation of new and old songs that were written for the Tagelharpa. Some of these songs have never been shared with the world while some are re-recorded from older Sun and Moon Dance albums. As the years have gone by I started playing some of them different than previous recordings as I matured at my instruments. This album solely features my self built Alto Tagelharpa. The Tagelharpa has so many different voices. I wanted to release these stripped down tunes to pay homage and to showcase the horse haired bowed lyre that many around the world have grown to love. This album is a mix of traditional playing styles as well as some more meditative tracks that will speak to traditionalists and fans of what we now call "Dark Folk." These are all my original compositions except "Savitaipaleen polkka" which is a traditional Finnish melody. I hope you all enjoy these tunes.

Absolutely one of the best Germanic folk albums ever made. The passion and range behind the vocals of each of Gealdýr's songs is immediately evident and perhaps unrivaled in this genre. Listening to this feels like you're confronting a Seer who sings somberly of an impending doom in Ragnarök, mourning what is to be lost yet still in awe of the sheer magnitude of the end. If Sól was Gealdýr's Muspelheim, then Eptir Ragnarök is his Nifelheim: each an inverse of the other in mood, but not quality. Rúnatal
